Guy Harvey Fishing Shirts
Today is the day that I return from my honeymoon cruise on the Norwegian Pearl free style cruise. The reason why I am writing this article is not only for the memories I have but also for the things I saw and what I was able to be a part of that will be fresh in my mind forever. One of the things that I saw was how many people on the ship had the same great taste that I have in Guy Harvey shirts and all different types of Guy Harvey clothing. But there was so much to this cruise that will always hold a special place in my heart.
Let me tell you first that if you have never been on a cruise you do not know what you are missing! This was my first cruise that I have ever been on and it was the best vacation I ever had. The funny thing is that I worked for Norwegian Cruise lines at one time and never had the time to take a cruise but wow I wish I could turn back time because it is truly an awesome experience.
My wife and I just recently got married on January 17th 2009. Our honeymoon cruise began on January 18th and just ended today on January 25th 2009. As you can see I am writing this just as I am getting home because we had such an awesome time.
As soon as we got on the cruise ship I saw a lot of other couples and the men and also some women were wearing Guy Harvey fishing shirts. I was kind of shocked and comforted at the same time because I had about 4 of my Guy Harvey shirts packed and was wondering if I would fit in wearing them and that eased my mind because a lot of other people were wearing Guy Harvey clothes.
The wife and I made our way to our stateroom and dropped off our luggage and stood there in awe of the stateroom itself but the view of South Beach out side our portholel. The stateroom was awesome and very comfortable to stay in but the main thing was it was very clean and sterile. I could talk about how good the stateroom was all day but when you are on your cruise you need to spend all of your time enjoying the outside which we did.
We next started to check out all the shops on the ship, the duty free store which sold tons of discount fragrances from mens cologne to womens perfume. The prices were exceptional and were hard to resist not buying anything but in time we found that we would get some nice souveniers.
Fishing Hats
Now it was time to go to the going away party which was located on the pool deck #12. I put on one of my fishing hats to block the setting sun and made our ways upstairs. We took some pictures of the Miami skyline as the ship left port and we began to start our drinking fest at the top siders bar.
Dinner time came fast as usual when you are on vacation so we made our way to the Mambos restaurant. One of the best thing about Norwegians "free style cruising" is that you pick any restaurant you like to eat in at any time you want. There are buffets for free and there are some restaurants that charge you a cover charge of $10, $15, $25 per person if you choose you would like to eat at a fancier place. Before you gripe about the price, let me tell you, you pay a cover charge and you get an unlimited amount of appetizers, entrees you like. For the money you pay you get tons of food and the food was awesome!
We decided to head back to our stateroom and get us some sleep for the next day at sea. We have a full day at sea and we planned on making the best of our day. Check our article section for honeymoon cruise Day 2 of our cruise.
