Guy Harvey Clothing

Today is the day where we go to Cozamel Mexico for our fifth day of our freestyle cruise. We wake up bright and early and look out our window and we have already began our final approach to the docks of Cozamel. We look out the window and see beautiful homes and hotels scattered about the shores and beaches. There were fishing boats all over the place transporting their crew to the hot spots to catch some fish. Today our shores excursion includes 4 hours of bottom fishing today so I was really excited, and believe it or not the wife was too. I think she was more excited than I was.

We got up and took our showers and got ready for breakfast. This time we had plans to sit outside in the back of the ship in a place called the Great Outdoors. Since we were going to be waiting outside and going to be fishing I had to wear my lucky Guy Harvey shirt to help keep me comfortable but also give me some luck on our fishing excursion. 

We headed down to the Great Outdoors restaurant and got us some breakfast and picked a table over looking the breathtaking scenery of Cozamel. Day 5 of eating breakfast over looking another beautiful country where the atmosphere was just amazing. We finished up our breakfast and made our way to the disembarking level so that we could head over to our shore excursion meeting point.

As we waited for everyone to get to the meeting point we went and looked around in the Duty Free store where I can honestly say that I saw the best pricing for every different type of liquor they had. But we had to hold off because we weren't allowed to bring it on the fishing boat.

Fishing Store

 The time was 8:30 and the bottom fishing boat pulled up to the dock and we started boarding the ship. The captain even complimented on my Guy Harvey shirt and he said he has a whole mess of Guy Harvey clothes that he wears all the time. He asked me where I got mine and I told them I own a fishing store so I bought it from there. We took some pictures on the way out to the fishing grounds and was wondering why this group of 2 older couples were upset. They told me that they were supposed to be on a scuba diving excursion and that they put them on the wrong boat. Man, I would of been upset if that happened to me.

We dropped our lines and began to fish. Small bites here and there and people were catching tile fish and huge queen trigger fish. Then I got a bite, I called the wife over and let her reel it in. It was a 2 pound red snapper and it just barely didn't make legal size so we had to throw it back. Then we drifted over a spot that was infested with a ton of Grunt. Pretty good eating but you have to catch a lot of them to make a good meal.

The time came where we had to make our way back to the docks. When we got off the boat the first place we went to go have some lunch and of coarse some drinks was called Carlos and Charlies. This place was rocking at 1pm in the afternoon. The food was good, the liquor was cheap. The wife and I both had a yard of Rum Punch. I bought a new long billed fishing hat.The bartenders had a conga line going with about 20 people and every one that passed a guy standing up on the chair had to take a shot of tequila. It was so funny because there were like older women dancing on the bars along with their grand daughters and everyone was blasted. Plus the female bar staff were exceptionally hot. I had to sneak in some looks while the wife was looking the other way.

We left the bar and went over to buy some souveniers for the family and friends. We then made it back to the ship and like us everyone on the ship had a nice buzz going and everyone was partying. The funny part was it was only 4pm and everyone was already trashed, it was probably the funnest day of our cruise but check out our next edition called honeymoon cruise Great Stirrup Cay day 6.
