We have a tradition in our family when it comes to getting ready for summer time fishing. We like to start getting ready and getting all of our fishing gear on May 1st every year. Why do we choose May 1st? Because this is the day that summer time fishing begins and when the Mahi Mahi start to migrate into the waters of South East Florida. Mahi Mahi Fishing is one of the most unbelievable fishing experience you can have only if you have the right fishing gear.

Fishing Accessories

The first thing we purchase first are the fishing accessories and other fishing gear such as new fishing lures, hooks and the new fishing pole combo to start the fishing season off right. There is nothing better than buying a new fishing rod and catching a nice trophy fish on the first fishing trip you use it. 

After we find the fishing tackle that we need we always hit the boaters section of the store and make sure that we have all the proper equipment on the boat so that we will pass all of the Coast Guard rules just incase we get stopped for an inspection. This could mean having the proper flare kit, enough life preservers for the amount of people on the boat and also fishing licenses.

Guy Harvey T Shirts

Once we have the proper items needed we then go to the fun stuff. Every year we get some new Guy Harvey fishing clothes to wear on the boat to make every fishing trip that we take more memorable. One of the first thing we hit up is the Guy Harvey t shirts section. It seems that there is a new Guy Harvey t shirt every week and there is no way to keep up with them. I always get a new Guy Harvey t shirt to help bring us luck. Not only do these Guy Harvey t shirts bring us some luck they also look very stylish and are also very durable and can withstand the beating that some fishing trips can give you.

Now that you have all of your fishing accessories and fishing gear taken care of you can then start planning where to fish and find out where all the fishing are being caught and what type of bait and fishing tackle they are tearing up. It is always a good thing to check up on the fishing reports and see how deep the fish are in and how far out you have to travel to get to them.
